Southampton Aikikai

Welcome to the homepage for the Southampton Aikikai, which is made up of the Southampton Shiseikan Aikido Club and the University of Southampton Aikido Club. We are a member of the British Aikido Federation, which is one of the organizations comprising the Joint Aikikai Council.

Our usual class times are Tuesday evenings 18.30 – 20.00 and Friday evenings 17.00 – 18.00.

CLASS TIMES through 6 JANUARY 2026. Our last class of 2025 will be at our usual class time on Tuesday 16 December. Classes will start up on their usual Tuesday and Friday schedule from Tuesday 6 January 2026

All classes takes place in the Martial Arts Studio, Studio 3, in the Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre (which is Building 18 on the University of Southampton Highfield Campus (click for a map)).

If you’re interested, please come along and give it a whirl. Beginners are always welcome, and all classes are appropriate for beginners.
